New features proposal

Topics: Feature requests

I would like to add some new features to your project:

  • Possibility to order culture items in dropdownlist (not alphabetical)
  • Possibility to customize the Displayed culture name (for example ENG, DEU, ITA)
  • Possibility to display in dropdownlist only languages which have a translated content

All features will be ruled by a setting page.
What about? What I have to do to contribute to your project?

Hi!

Sounds good for me.

Minor question: by setting page do you mean widget's settings?

I wasn't thinking about it (I was thinking about a general setting page), but it's a good idea. I will update you when a beta will be ready...

Ok. You can contribute by submitting a pull request(s) to the project.

CulturePicker is a low priority project currently for me, but I'm sure your contribution will be greatly appreciated by the community. I've been asked for implementing some of these features several times.

Hi, a first beta with a general setting page is near to be ready.

How can I add translations (Italian) T("key to translate") to the module?

Regarding adding translations I recommend to read this article: http://docs.orchardproject.net/Documentation/Creating-global-ready-applications

Orchard localization infrastructure is built to host translations for third party modules as well. So, it's better to submit translations to the Orchard *.po files index.

Could you please re-submit your pull request? The original pull request you've submitted is empty.

UPD: Sorry, now I see. Didn't get a notification.
